Karaca Cave

The Karaca Cave (known locally as Karaca Mağarası) is a network of caves located near the Turkish town of Torul.There is no stream in the cave of Karaca, but water leaking through the cave ceiling still provides water for the formation of dripstones. Other than those, there are some travertine pools and ponds inside the cave. The ponds, which are at the entrance of the third and fourth halls, have a high water content.

Crystal Cave

Crystal Cave is a marble cave in Sequoia National Park, in the U.S. state of California. It is in the Giant Forest region, between the Ash Mountain entrance of the park and Giant Forest. The cave is a constant 9 °C (48 °F), and only accessible by guided tour.

Harrison's Cave

Barbados, the most easterly island in the Caribbean, is the home of Harrison’s Cave. This magnificent, crystallized limestone cavern is said to be one of the wonders of the world. It is believed that Harrison’s Cave is the only cave in the world where running water is found along with color crystal-like formations. The cave has large chambers, stalagmites, stalactites, lakes, streams and waterfalls.

With a past history of dynamite and cyanide fishing, the Philippines has sustained much damage to its coral reefs. In an effort to control this in Palawan, the government introduced the Bantay Dagat (Baywatch) program in 1992.
There was a ban on illegal fishing techniques as well as the introduction of fish sanctuaries and reserves. Local communities combined with naval and police forces to enable constant coastal surveillance – no mean feat with such a vast area of ocean to patrol. Heavy sentences of up to 20 years imprisonment for offenders help to maintain the zero tolerance level.
